As we come to the end of another year, it’s time to reflect on a ‘year like no other’.

Usually at the end of the year we like to celebrate all of the fantastic things that have been happening in our school. However, this is a very strange end to the year with none of our usual celebrations but this does not mean that we have not achieved fantastic things. The home learning activities completed by the children have been amazing and we would like to thank you, the parents, for becoming teachers over the past few months. We know it has not been easy juggling home schooling, working from home, child care and other demands on your time.

Please try not to worry about your child missing out and your fear of them ‘falling behind’. Every child will have had very different home learning experiences and they cannot be expected to have remembered all previous learning. It is up to us to build on and plan their next steps of learning on their return in September. We look forward to welcoming them all back in September, back into routines and ready to learn. We will have plans to support your child with returning and will work with you to ensure your child settles quickly.

This time of year is always tinged with sadness as we say goodbye to those who are leaving us this year. We would like to say how proud we are of our year 6 pupils, for how they have matured and coped with a difficult situation but we hope that they have had an enjoyable last term at St. Peter’s. We hope that they will, when this is all over, come back and see us to get the ‘goodbye hug’ they deserve. Remember that you will all, always be, part of the St. Peter’s family.

From all of the staff at St. Peter’s, thank you for your support and kind words during this year. We hope you have a fantastic, safe and peaceful summer 🌞

A HUGE Thankyou to Jane Dixon and the team at Volvo Car UK in Maidenhead for donating two large boxes of crisp packets to our school. We will be sending them off to Terracyle for recycling so that they can be made into something new. #ecoschools #terracycle #community ... See MoreSee Less
